1:1 Composition Mentorship
A 12-week mentorship for composers who have the craft but not the voice. We work on the thing no tutorial teaches: harmony that is yours, orchestration with intent, and taste you can trust.
Apply for a place →Small intake. Application only. Not for beginners.
What you develop
Real harmonic thinking, drawn from jazz and classical practice, not chord-chart recipes. The reason a progression moves you, and how to write ones that do.
Choosing colour on purpose. Why a line lives in one register and one instrument and not another.
The hardest and most valuable part. Learning to hear what is yours, keep it, and cut the rest.
Taking one real piece from sketch to finished by week 12, worked through together.
Why me
I write for television, advertising, and video games, with orchestral and cinematic music that has real jazz and classical harmony underneath it. I trained as a jazz vocalist and pianist in Vienna. I work in six languages.
And I am, right now, doing the exact work this mentorship is about: finding and finishing my own voice on my own album, not music for hire. This is the craft I use and fight with every week.
The trajectory
6 sessions over 12 weeks. The two-week gap is deliberate: it is where you do the work that actually changes your writing.
12 sessions over 12 weeks. Faster momentum, more contact, for people who want to go deep quickly.
Both include 75-minute sessions, written notes after every session, feedback on your work between sessions, and one finished deliverable by week 12. Payable as a deposit to enrol plus two installments. You accept the terms at enrolment — there is nothing to sign.
How enrolment works
Questions
No. Lessons build fundamentals. This is for composers who already have them and want a voice. Different work.
No, and be careful with anyone who does. I guarantee the sessions, the feedback, and the deliverable. The growth comes from the work you put in between.
You should be able to play an instrument and finish pieces on your own. If you are unsure, apply and tell me honestly where you are.
Biweekly if you have limited time and want space to work. Weekly if you want intensity and momentum.
Plainly:
Full terms are linked at enrolment.
Apply
If you can already write but you do not yet sound like yourself, that is exactly what this is for.
